Teaching Assistants – 2 roles

Salary details : Grade 1-2 (£17,364 – £17,711 pro rata)

Job term : Part Time

Appointment : Fixed Term

Closing date : 06 December 2019 12:00 PM

Post 1: 19.5 hpw plus 0.5 hpw for planning and feedback, Monday – Friday, 11.30am – 3.20pm, 38 weeks per year.
Post 2: 30 hpw plus 0.5 hpw for planning and feedback,    Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 11.30am and 12.20pm – 3.20pm, 38 weeks per year.

Fixed term until 31 August 2020.
Required from 1 January 2020.

Job Description

Sebert Wood Primary School is a vibrant, nurturing community school with children who are eager to learn, encouraged and inspired by a friendly team of staff and supportive parents.

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic Teaching Assistants, one qualified to level 3, to join our friendly nursery team which provides a caring, nurturing and educational environment for up to 26 children in the morning and afternoon.

An understanding of the EYFS curriculum is essential, together with an enthusiastic, calm and positive approach to create a stimulating early learning experience for children aged 3 – 4, supporting indoor / outdoor learning. A nurturing and empathetic approach is essential. Experience of working with children in an Early Years setting is highly desirable.

Responsibility for a designated small group of pupils and monitoring and developing pupil skills under the direction of the Early Years Leader / Early Years Practitioner will be required, together with the ability to load evidence of pupil development onto Tapestry (training will be provided).
One role will also include supervising our lunch club Catkins.
