Weekly Update 16.11.2018

We’ve all enjoyed a fun Fitness Friday today which was combined with Children In Need. Thank you so much for your donations to such a good cause.

We have a very busy week ahead of us with our Egyptian Day on Wednesday! As you know we have a specialist company visiting us and providing exciting activities for the children which will enhance and consolidate the children’s historical understanding of this period.

Unfortunately, we still have some parents who have not paid their £5 towards the cost of the event. Sadly, the reality is we simply do not have the budget to fund such special occasions and if we don’t get enough contributions we have to take the money out of our Year 3 supplies budget. We kindly ask that you please do help us to continue to offer and fund these invaluable and enriching activities for your children.

Please send contributions via the School Gateway by visiting

Christmas play rehearsals will be in full swing next week, so your child may come home with a script to learn if they have requested a speaking part. In Music, we will be practising the songs for our play.

Weather permitting – we will be continuing our hockey lessons outside on the field, so please ensure your child has a carrier bag for muddy trainers. Currently, our indoor PE sessions will be finishing as the hall is needed for rehearsal, but please keep kit in school, as we may fit in a few extra sessions in classrooms. In Philosophy, we will be considering how to fine tune our questioning skills.

We have a sign-up sheet in our lobby white board for people to assist in running stalls for the Christmas Fair. We would really appreciate your help with just half an hour of your time. We are also collecting purple and black items for our hamper; please send these in with your child by Wednesday 21st November.

Thank you to those who have sent jars in for our DT sessions, we do now have enough, so no need to send any more in!

Have a lovely weekend
