Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is an additional sum of money provided to schools directly from the government, to help children who may be disadvantaged for a variety of reasons. Schools are accountable to OFSTED for their PPG spending and the impact this has on pupil progress. Pupil Premium information can be found for the school via the link below :
The School uses the Department for Education’s (DfE’s) Schools Financial Benchmarking website to find similar schools and then compares revenue and expenditure against spending at Sebert Wood. This allows the School to identify areas where spending is comparatively high or low. It is important to understand the story behind the data and to consider it in context, and the Headteacher and Business Manager work closely with the Governors Finance Committee to do this. When considering financial decisions, the Leadership Team are also consulted to develop the systems and processes the School has in place to help ensure spending is efficient and results in the best outcomes for our pupils.
